Crafted by the well-regarded C. S. Harris & Sons Ltd and hallmarked for 1919, it stands out as a rare example of formal deskware from the early 20th century. Designed for use in administrative or official settings, it features all four original glass inserts and an engraved presentation inscription, which adds a personal and historical touch. Quality examples like this—complete and well-preserved—are becoming increasingly difficult to source, making it a special find for collectors of antique silver and writing instruments alike.

Maker:

C. The compartments do not close completely snugly, as shown in photos. There is some light tarnish at the interior joins, all consistent with age and use.
